JPBlog is a software for generating travel blogs. As such, it is geared towards showing photographs that correspond to specific locations that you visited during a trip. Of course, nothing prevents you from using JPBlog for showing other kinds of albums, as long as they can be made to fit the following description
JPBlog organizes information in a hierarchical way:
- The top unit is the trip or journey. You can have as many trips as you want, and all of them will appear in the index page. For example, a trip could be "My Vacation in Europe". Every trip has a single XML configuration file in which all the details of the trip are specified.
- A journey can have many legs or parts. It is assumed that each leg takes place in one location. The above trip could have several legs or places you visited during your stay in Europe : One leg could be "Madrid", another could be "Paris", yet another could be "Amsterdam", etc. Every trip must have at least one location.
- Finally, a leg of a journey can have as many photographs or movie clips as you wish. Each photograph can come with its own description, a specific license, and more.
